Latin:

creationis mundi anni et egregororum transgressio.

millesimo centesimo vicesimo secundo mundi anno Iared genuit Enoch. Enoch centum sexaginta quinque annos natus, genuit Matusalah millesimo ducentesimo octogesimo septimo mundi anno. at millesimo quadragesimo secundo mundi anno Seth obiit. millesimo septuagesimo septimo mundi anno egregori palam adulterati sunt.

ex africano de egregoris.

aucta super terram hominum multitudine angeli caeli filiabus hominum commixti sunt: in quibusdam exemplaribus legi "filii dei". indicat, ut reor, spiritus sanctus a Seth patre dei filios vocari, ob enatos ex eius stirpe usque ad salvatorem iustos et patriarchas: Cain vero progeniem, ceu nil divinum referentem, ob generis pravitatem ac confusae naturae dissimilitudinem, hominum semen appellat: eisdemque indignationis suae signa deum inflixisse narrat. at si angelis sermonem fieri sentiamus, magiis et praestigiis deditos accipi necesse eat, qui astrorum et numerorum motum, rerumque sublimium, vel meteororum notitiam mulieribus tradiderunt, quorum congressu conceperunt illae gigantes, ..

The years of the creation of the world and the transgression of the "watchers"

In the 1122nd. year of the world, Iared begat Enoch. Enoch at the age of 165 begat Matusalah (= Methuselah) in the 1287th. year of the world. But in the 1402nd. year of the world, Seth died. In the 1077th. year of the world, the "watchers" were clearly corrupted.

About the "watchers", out of Africanus (is this Julius Africanus? Anyway, Syncellus is quoting or excerpting him)

When the multitude of men on earth increased, the angels of heaven mingled with the daughters of men. In certain copies I have read "sons of god". The Holy Ghost, I suppose, is indicating that they are called by father Seth "sons of god", because they are born of His stock down to the Saviour, as righteous men and patriarchs: he (presumably the Holy Ghost) calls Cain, however, being a descendant pertaining as it were to nothing divine, because of the bad condition of his birth and the unlikeness of mixed nature, a "seed of men": he narrates that god imposed upon the same (people? surely eidem, the same person, Cain) signs of His anger. But if we realize that angels had speech, it has to be accepted that they were devoted to magic and illusions; they gave to women the motion of stars and numbers and of sublime matters, or familiarity with meteors; and in union with these (angels) they (the women) gave birth to giants...
